Gateway Center (web-size) (63 of 91)You are cordially invited to an Open House for the Gateway Center on Friday, June 6 from 3-6pm.  Mayor Teresi, County Executive Vince Horrigan and State Assemblyman Andrew Goodell will all be in attendance. This is an opportunity to find out more about the various organizations and resources available at the Gateway Center, take tours and enjoy good food! All nine organizations housed here are working together to make this happen and would love your participation.

The purpose of the Open House is to invite the community to stop by the Gateway Center and check out what’s happening! Although we have been helping the community since 2006, there are many people who do not yet know who we are and what we do—the resources that are available at this unique facility. At this time, there are nine agencies housed in the Gateway Center making a difference in lives of hundreds of people on a daily basis. Often these agencies work together to help individuals and families during their time of crisis. The community is invited to take tours of the facility, learn more about Gateway organizations, enjoy good food and fun activities for all ages.

This is an event not to be missed! There will be a press conference at 5pm on the second floor cafe, but throughout the afternoon, the following activities will be available:

  • Guided tours of the facility every 30 minutes

  • Free food and drink

  • Activities for kids, including a bouncy house and balloon animals

  • BMX Bike/Skate board demonstration in the indoor Skate/BMX Park

  • Carriage Rides around the outside of the building, along the river

  • Opportunities to talk with the executive directors and board members of several of the Gateway Organizations
